FPM Heat Treating was founded in 1979 on the vision of providing unsurpassed service and quality heat treating to the manufacturing community. We are one of the largest independent commercial heat treaters in the Greater Midwest region, as well as one of the largest in the nation. We have assembled a leading team of heat treating practitioners and metallurgists who understand how to control the many process variables to satisfy and meet the challenging OEM and Military/Aerospace specifications.
All locations are ISO 9001-2000 Certified and maintain full metallurgical laboratories to assist our customers with their technical requirements. FPM maintains a "small business" attitude by providing customers with personal attention. Our state-of-the-art information systems allows us to efficiently integrate and coordinate our services to meet the specific business requirements of our customers.

Provides full service heat treating. The variety of processes and equipment we offer gives us great flexibility to meet heat treat specifications and critical delivery dates. Elk Grove specializes in batch furnace processing, vacuum furnace processing with controlled atmosphere-integral quench, and salt bath processing for high volume production customers, as well as the tooling industry. We are Nadcap certified for vacuum heat treat processing. |

Offers continuous mesh belt processing, batch atmosphere carburizing and through hardening, automated salt bath processing and clamp processing. This facility is well equipped to service customer heat treating needs for carburizing, carbonnitriding and neutral hardening and contains the largest hydraulic flattening installations in the Greater Midwest. |
